- ‘허실상생’을 활용한 영화 스토리텔링 표현 연구 -
허실론은 중국 전통문화에서의 중요한 논제로써 중국의 민족적 특징을 담고 있다. 허실론의 표현 기법인 ‘허실상생’이 어떻게 서양에서 시작된 영화 스토리텔링을 표현을 하는데 있어서 적절하게 활용될 수 있는가에 대한 연구이다. 중국의 전통적인 미학의 관점에서 영화적인 표현기법에 대한 연구를 통하여 중국 영화가 더욱 민족적 특색을 가지고, 한 단계 나아가 중국 영화의 다양성과 완벽성을 실현할 수 있다고 본다. 본 논문은 중국 전통 시화 속의 ’허실상생’의 활용을 분석하여 중국 시화와 영화의 공통점을 찾아내며, 영화의 화면과 스토리텔링 2가지 측면에서 ‘허실상생’의 기법이 영화에서 어떻게 활용될 수 있는지 분석했다. ‘허실상생’에 대한 철학적 배경과 발전 그리고 ‘허실상생’의 창작 과정에 대해 상세히 논했다. 영화는 시공간이 융합된 예술이다. 영화 화면 속 ‘허실상생’은 2단계로 구분했다. 첫 단계는 물질적 요소의 사실성과 화면 언어의 허구성의 결합이다. 영화는 광학으로 만드는 예술이며, 빛은 물질적 요소의 형상을 변화시키기에 이러한 단계는 영화 속 빛의 ‘허실상생’을 통해 설명했다. 두 번째 단계는 화면의 구도, 배치로 만들어지며, 화면 속 실제 경치, 사물, 사람, 사건 등의 이미지 요소와 화면의 여백으로 생겨난 ‘허실상생’이다. 이러한 단계는 주로 화면의 구도와 배경화면의 단순화로 실현된다. 그리고 영화에는 공간과 시간의 차원이 있으며 상호 조화를 이룬다. 영화의 서사는 영상 공간의 완전한 표현에 기초를 두고 있고 선형적인 시간으로 연결하고 있다. 영화의 서사 방식은 몽타주 등 영화 표현 기법을 ‘허실상생’의 개념으로 분석하여 관객의 영화 스토리텔링 표현에 있어서 새로운 미학을 제시하고자 한다.
Study of Film Storytelling Expressions using the “Rule of the Juxtaposition of Truth and Fiction”
The rule of juxtaposition of truth and fiction theory is significant to Chinese traditional culture with its ethniccharacteristics. As the embodiment method of the rule of juxtaposition of truth and fiction theory, how to flexibly utilize it in western exotic movies is the paper’s research direction. Studying from the perspective of Chinese classical aesthetics can make Chinese movies have more ethnic characteristics, to further realize the diversity and completion of Chinese movie aesthetics. The paper chooses to utilize and analyze the ’the rule of juxtaposition of truth and fiction reciprocity’ in Chinese traditional poems and paintings, to observe the common aspects between Chinese poems and paintings and movies, and respectively analyze the application of ‘the rule of juxtaposition of truth and fiction’ method in movie creation from the movie images and narrative ways. Firstly, the paper summarizes the aesthetic theories of ’the rule of juxtaposition of truth and fiction’, and has made simple description on the basic symposiums, philosophical background and development and the creation process of it. Next, movies and poems and paintings are the art integrated with time and space. The integration between the ’the rule of juxtaposition of truth and fiction reciprocity’ in movie images and Chinese paintings can be divided into two levels. The first level is the ’the rule of juxtaposition of truth and fiction’ between the solid material elements and the void shooting language. Light can change the forms of material elements, so this level is described through the analysis of ’the rule of juxtaposition of truth and fiction’ in movie lights. The second level comes from the image composition and layout, that is, to form the ’the rule of juxtaposition of truth and fiction’ through the solid scene, objects, people, things in imagesand other image elements and the blank image space. The narrative method of the film was to present a new aesthetic that allows the audience to be immersed in the storytelling of the film by analyzing the film expression techniques such as montage with the concept of ‘the rule of juxtaposition of truth and fiction’.
